The SuperDuster comes standard with high performance, heavy-duty stainless steel brushes that can easily be adjusted to remove light, heavy, or even frozen residual sawdust typically left by horizontal band resaws. Froedge Machine pioneered the process of cleaning boards, or "dedusting" in the early 1990's, when thin kerf bandsaws began to replace circular gangsaws for higher yields. But the bandsaws sometimes left fine sawdust on the boards - especially when cutting frozen material - that caused problems when a dust free environment was required by the pallet user.
The SuperDuster receives material - either directly from the sawing process or hand-fed - into a hopper with an adjustable gate. The rubber belt pulls the bottom board into a set of pinch rollers guarded inside the machine. The rolls feed the board through rotating top and bottom brushes into another set of pinch rollers which pull the board completely through the brushes and out of the machine. As the bottom board clears the infeed stack, the next board drops into place and the process is continually repeated.
